Winding Down

As the year is winding down its last few pathetic moments, I feel like recalling the more interesting soundtracks of some bloody joyful days. The anthems of sweaty, breathtaking evening hunts, down the concrete jungle’s labyrinth.

And fuck the year’s ‘best of’ list…who gives a shit anyway?

Oh shit, let me have some more beautiful days like these…

Till Death Do Our Hatred Apart

Some days in this banality called life are actually exciting. One of it is when you’re shaking with that delicious adrenalin rush, courtesy of hatred boiling over.

That said, I can understand why a seasoned ex-convict would decide to celebrate New Year ‘prematurely, by shooting down some fire fighters…

Nothing beats the rush of carnage, that’s for sure.

On This Merry Occasion

Let there be proper, high spirited music, joyous and orgiastic, to carry everyone through this most bombastic, foul and false of annual ceremonies that man has crafted…

Propechy

So, let me get this straight, a twenty years old autistic nerd shot dead about 26 elementary school kids, on 14 December. The killing ground was a pathetic place called Sandy Hook elementary school.

Twelve years before, a stupid B or C rated movie was made, with the intriguing title of “Sandy Hook Lingerie Party Massacre”....

Annnddd…the movie was reviewed, on a stupid, pathetic blog, on the same date (July 20) that another great public shooting took place, at the Century movie theater in Aurora, Colorado….

Dang. Is this what prophecy is all about? Can I do this from album titles..? Might just as well start with the most deliciously promising ones….

Time Travel

I’ve always dream of doing time travelling.

Somewhere in central Europe. Early 1970s. Midwinter. Grey cobble-stone roads. Tacky elevators. Tacky fur coat.

Watching three Britons ‘progsters’ doing a live session, where a Hammond organ gets abused like a mull in a medieval market.

Sava’s Return

Somewhere in the godforsaken outback of Serbia, lies a godforsaken hamlet named Zarozje, where a decrepit wooden mill is said to house the godforsaken spirit of a local vampire, called Sava fucking godforsaken Savanovic.

The wooden mill has recently been reported to have crumbled. Thus, locals begin to fear the return of Sava’s spirit, angered over the destruction of his abode. For fuck’s sake, even the fucking local council started warning villagers to put garlic in their pockets and place wooden crosses in their rooms to ward off vampires.

Alas, international press news coverage revealed that the recent buzz over Sava’s return appeared to be merely designed to attract visitors to the impoverished region than anything else. Now why the fuck am I not surprised?

I sure hope good ole Sava really returns and rip the necks of every single one of those stupid villagers.

Where Did Those Days Go?

I can still remember the days when getting underground records means getting it through the perilous postal system. Getting it pass nosy customs and post office jerk offs. Getting it wrapped in a letter written or fashioned with dried, brownish blood stains, or blackened soil from a local burial site.

What lovely days those were…when real blood, rather than facades, still forges the dementia called underground extreme metal scene. Where the fuck has it gone to now?

You can never have too much fun in an elevator…

Red Moon

Total lunar eclipse is probably one of the very few natural phenomena that are exquisitely gratifying to the gifted mind. Sure, there’s nothing like a pitch black night to entertain the mood, but one lit with a blood red hue is just awesome. It’s so otherworldly, it simply sends a tingling all over the spine of the beholder.

At its most intense moments, the circumstances almost feel like seeing the night sky ripped to bleed and die. A surreal, magickal moment, that triggers the lust for something or someone to honor the moment in blood.

Sure, it’s all bullshit and tall tales.

Time To Kill

What do you do when you have more than enough time to kill? Some might actually try to do that stupid thing called holiday vacation. Others learn how to become couch potatoes. Still some others would actually try to get a side job.

Actual work during your actual day off. What a concept indeed. A concept made necessary by the fact that asshole employers never want to pay you more than what their greedy sense of comfort would allow.

Someone should definitely go to work on those motherfuckers’ assess someday soon.

Pool Sessions

Ah, those lovely teenager nights. Breaking into the school’s swimming fucking pool. Getting high on shits, fucking and all.

And then of course, the orgasmic finale: killing all the party bitches

Fuckin’ Destiny

What was it that they say about 2012? End of the world was it? Or is it just the beginning? Or was it three days of power outage around the whole fucking world?

Why do pricks care so much about their destiny in the coming months? Isn’t it clear enough that the only destiny for everyone is death?

‘GABOS’

Anyone who thinks Halloween is a bunch of crap should try celebrating one in Colombia. Particularly in this lovely year of 2012. That’s when a suitcase bomb is reported to have exploded near a town square where 5,000 children were celebrating Halloween.

The blast killed two suspected culprits and injuring over 30 people, including two boys who had to be hospitalized in critical condition. The two dead bombers were suspected members of a drug-trafficking group, who hated the local Police so much they decided they should bomb one of its post, near where the bomb went off.

Lovely, lovely Halloween…Well. I guess ‘the game’ is not about sympathy.

Chaos reveals

I was in chaos once, and boy was that a time to miss. Hate and blood clinging so thick in the air you can lick the reek of every salty, fresh wound.

Anyone who has experienced the ecstatic explosion of pent up frustrations, the gush of hateful groundswell, must know the delightful bloodlust that it entails.

I don’t know much about anything, but one thing’s clear. When life is as cheap as a rusted machete, and a dug up hole of dirt, that is the time when all hypocrisy is revealed…

Haze

It was such a bad haze, or smog, or whatever you want to call it, that some people just ended up upside down and bloody on the road sides the past few days. What a messy, messy night indeed.

Good thing I always got my instinct honed for such occasions.

Nothing beats hunting and gutting up wounded pigs, with a great haze to blanket the night.

Paris, 1970

Just realized how lots of intriguing things took place in 1970.

The ambitious project called Aswan Dam was completed on that fateful year. An achievement which, eventually, lead up to such things as the increase in bilharzias parasitic infection on the unsuspecting local population.

The Beatles break up on the same time. Leading up, of course, to the glorious murder of John Lennon. Hell, the first ever introduction of computer Floppy Disks was done on the same year!

Let’s not forget the more blood-smeared episodes of a Palestinian militant groups’ hijacking of five airplanes around the globe. On that note, we shouldn’t forget the shooting at Kent State University either…

Glorious, epic times indeed. Nothing, however, as epic and glorious as the live show done by Mr. Osborne and friends, in Paris, sometime in 1970…

Exhibition

I can never really understand the point of art exhibitions. That is not until I check out the Chapman bros’ delightful exhibitions…Those two gave me lots of wonderful ideas indeed. Particularly with the human-like figures they presented.

Anyway, what is missing for me, on any ‘gratifying’ exhibitions, would be a suitable soundtrack to have a walk through it. The right choice of music and art, surprisingly, can have some sort of soothing effect for this restless mind.

No, I’m not talking about music presented in the exhibition, but something that one can listen on their own, with an Ipod, or whatever.

Statistics

While numbers, on their own, are hardly stimulating to a musically-challenged mind, a combination with the right type of soundtrack can really produce miraculous moments.

So here’s a daily look at some of life’s more wonderful statistics….

The Power of Live Chants

Nothing seems to beat the energy and mystique of a live musical performance. Not for me at least. Not for the likes of Led Zeppelin either. At least not when they were still at their prime…

Here’s an hour of unbridled bluesy Hard Rock at its best, ever…

‘Heavy-Days’ Cure

Nothing is probably more cliché than the statement that ‘it’s been a heavy, long day’. Still, some days are just exactly that. Long. Tedious. Frustrating. Too ‘heavy’ just drink away into oblivion.

My latest cure for such shitty days is blasting away at some truly heavy, dragging-down-the-gutters kind of beautifully twisted Doom and Sludge melodies…Something ‘abrasive’ enough to shed some of the blood boiling hate off.

There haven’t been many suitable for the job, but the ones that do work are just marvelous pieces of hate-filled symphonies galore…Thought I might share some of the ‘medicinal music’ every now and then, with the anonymous blogosphere denizens.

Get loaded, and fuck the ‘heavy-days’ off…

Dream Toy

I’ve always liked miniatures, especially those WWII ones, with the Nazi Germany’s exquisite military uniforms and paraphernalia. Can’t even recount how many hours were spent doing those miniature kits.

Nothing has really rekindled the rather fond memories or interest on the subject again until I saw the Chapman brothers’ art display, gloriously depicted on Ramesses’ EP cover.

What a work. I wish it had remained intact, rather than be destroyed, and comes out as a mass-produced miniature series. That’ll definitely be my dream toy.

Even better than just having it made available for the masses, is to have it come in one bundled-package with such gritty dungeon music as what the likes of Ramesses always make…
